Well the theory that the Paleontologists made is that a very humongous meteor, an unusual one was falling on earth at very high speed. And when the meteor struck the Earth, the explosion went and spread across the world and then the air got polluted, and they say that the dinosaurs died one by one. First it was the carnivores because they eat other dinosaurs and when the others died they couldn't get food and so they starved to death and then the omnivores and herbivores.
